Barmer
Deep-desert district town known for block printing and folk music.
Barmer sits in the far west, closer to the border than to anywhere else. It is the centre of Rajasthan's ajrakh block printing and of the Manganiar and Langa musical traditions, and it fills up for the Thar Festival each spring.
