Short version: we only hold what you send us in order to quote your trip, and we do not sell it to anyone.

Who we are

What this website collects
The enquiry forms on this site do not submit to a database. When you fill one in and press send, your browser opens WhatsApp with the message already written out, and nothing is transmitted until you choose to send it. At that point the details you have written — typically your name, travel dates, route and group size — reach us through WhatsApp, the same as any other message.
We use those details to prepare a quote and to run the trip if you book it. We do not sell them, rent them, or pass them to anyone marketing to you.
The trip planner and the chat assistant
Most answers in the chat assistant come from a fixed set of prepared responses held on this site. When a question does not match any of them, and when you ask the trip planner to refine an itinerary, the text of that request is sent to Groq, an AI provider, to generate a reply. Send only what you would put in an ordinary enquiry — there is no reason to type identity documents, card details or passwords into it, and you should not.
Cookies
There is no analytics, advertising or social tracking on this website. The only cookies we set are the session cookies created when a member of our staff signs in to the internal booking system, and they are necessary for that sign-in to work.
Other companies involved
Enquiries reach us over WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta and governed by its own privacy terms. Photographs on this site are served from an image host. Map tiles in the trip planner are served by CARTO and OpenStreetMap, which means those services can see the map areas you look at. Requests to the chat assistant and planner may be processed by Groq as described above.
How long we keep things
Enquiries that do not turn into a booking are kept only as long as the conversation is useful. Records of completed trips are kept for as long as tax and transport regulations require us to keep them.
Your choices
You can ask us what details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them where we are not legally required to keep them. Write to info@jaintravels.com and we will respond.
Changes
If we start collecting anything we do not collect today — an online booking system, payments, or analytics — this page will be updated before that goes live, and the date at the top will change.
