Before you set off

The Abu Road ghat section is 28 km of continuous hairpins — allow a full hour for it alone.
Dilwara admits general visitors only from 12:00 to 18:00, and no cameras or phones go inside.
Sunset Point fills up early. Arrive 45 minutes before sunset or skip it for Guru Shikhar.
Abu is genuinely cold from December to February. Tell your group to pack accordingly.

Can a 45-seater bus go up to Mount Abu?

Yes, full-size coaches use the Abu Road ghat daily. The climb is slow but entirely routine for an experienced driver. If your itinerary also includes narrow temple lanes, a 35-seater is easier all round.

How many days do we need for Mount Abu from Jodhpur?

Two nights works well. Drive up on day one, spend day two on Dilwara, Nakki Lake and Guru Shikhar, and return on day three. A one-night trip is possible but rushed.

Is Mount Abu good in summer?

It is the one place in Rajasthan that is. At 1,220 metres it stays 10 to 12 degrees cooler than the plains, which is precisely why it became a hill station.
