Tanot Mata Temple
Border temple famous for the unexploded shells of the 1965 war.
Tanot sits 120 km from Jaisalmer near the Longewala sector, maintained by the BSF. The temple is known for surviving heavy shelling in 1965, and the museum beside it holds the shells that failed to detonate. Identity documents are checked on the approach.
