Before you set off

Safaris run at dawn and dusk. To make the morning slot you need to stay the previous night.
The final approach and the safari tracks are rough — a Scorpio or Innova handles it far better than a sedan.
Safari jeeps are booked through the lodges and sell out in December and January.
Winter mornings on the dam are genuinely cold. Carry a jacket.

Can we do Jawai as a day trip from Jodhpur?
